Quality Consulting Group JTCV6 - PROCESS SAFETY SPECIALIST in Salinas, Puerto Rico

QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, a leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industry, is looking for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities:  

  • Provides analytical and implementation support in the following areas: safety, contractor safety, occupational health, process safety, fire protection, environmental, distribution, and ergonomics.

  • May provide consultation to the line on safety issues.

  • Provides independent evaluation and determines if work can continue under current safety conditions.

  • Participate in audits and assist in the development of corrective action plans based on the results of the audits.

  • Assist with development and implementation of OSHA related programs.

  • Participate in re-validations.

  • Develop or revise procedures to meet OSHA standards.

  • Assist in the development and implementation or revision of procedures and training programs.

  • Participate in incident investigation activities, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and closure.

  • Evaluate and assess EHS risks (e.g. chemical, particulate matter, and mechanical) associated with process and support equipment.

  • Conduct Jab Hazard Assessments and Personal Protective Equipment evaluations and assessments.

  • Perform workplace surveys and data collection for noise or indoor air quality concerns.

  • Suggest and perform occupational exposure assessments monitoring in work areas.

  • Work with chemical assessment and sampling equipment for industrial hygiene assessments.

  • Reviewing current specifications and collecting data as necessary to assess risk and or compliance. 

Qualifications: 

  • Master's Degree in Industrial Hygiene (Preferred) without experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field from an accredited university

  • Five (5) plus year's equivalent experience and minimum of two (2) plus years industry experience.

  • Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 Process Safety Management or equivalent experience.

  • Must have experience in writing, developing, and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English).

  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.
