Blow Mold Utility Technician

Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Blow Mold Utility Technician 1st Shift (6:00am-4:30pm) , playing a key role in our plastic bottle manufacturing process. As a Blow Mold Utility Technician, you will contribute to the efficiency and quality of our production. Responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting blow mold machines, ensuring quality specifications are met, and maintaining a clean work area. If you possess mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, apply now to become an integral part of our team. This position has an hourly rate of $18.00 , in addition to an annual incentive bonus.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lift and carry bundles of corrugated bulk containers filled with plastic bottles, assembling them into box groups and wrapping them with twine

  • Check plastic bottles for defects and pack defect-free bottles into boxes

  • Insert spouts into designated bottles, remove handles and tails from specific bottles, and place them in a container for grinding

  • Monitor automated machines to prevent jams

  • Report any defective bottles or machine malfunctions to the supervisor

  • Keep conveyor belts clear of bottles

  • Operate a bagger machine as needed

  • Notify appropriate personnel when additional raw materials are required

  • Track and record the production of bottles for each shift

  • Mark boxes or bags with the date and shift using a designated color marker for each shift

  • Assist in department inventory and perform basic record-keeping duties

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Mechanical skills and ability to follow detailed instructions

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with blow mold machines

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed
