Aerotek Quality Control Technician in Salem, Virginia

Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Technician to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and experience in concrete product inspection and testing.

Job Responsibilities:

· Conduct and document Pre- and Post- Pour Inspections of precast products.

· Conduct and document Final Inspection of product before delivery. Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.

· Test and document fresh concrete in accordance with industry standards.

· Test and document hardened concrete in accordance with industry standards.

· Assist in monitoring and arranging for timely calibration and maintenance of QC gauges, scales, machines and other equipment.

· Generate spreadsheets for data collection as needed.

· Interact with government and industry inspectors as needed.

· Monitor quality of, and test conformance to, standards of incoming raw materials.

· Preparing for industry certification inspections (i.e. NPCA Plant Certification)

· Learn the operations of Batch Plant and batching system.

· All other duties as assigned by QC, Plant Manager and/ or QAQC Manager.

Requirements:

· 1-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the precast concrete industry.

· Construction experience is highly advantageous.

· Proficiency in industry-standard testing methods and documentation.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to generate detailed reports.

· Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and inspectors.

Work Environment/Shift:

· Indoor/Outdoor Hybrid

· M-F 6-4pm
