This entry-level position serves customers at The Cavern, one of the campus' dining hall options with a fast food feel. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to serve menu items in a safe an efficient manner to students, faculty, and staff. This is an entry level position with training that will offer the successful applicant the chance to learn and grow in a professional setting. Job Responsibilities: • Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude. • Take orders accurately and process payments accurately in a timely manner. • Package food items safely and properly. • Keep the dining area and kitchen clean and organized. • Restock items as needed. Desired Qualifications: • At least 1 year of customer service experience. • A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. • Strong attention to detail. • Exceptional problem solving skills. • Ability to remain calm under pressure. Nice-to-Haves: • Cash handling experience. • ServSafe Food Handler certification. • Proficiency in a foreign language. • Ability to multi-task with ease. • Relevant prior experience in the food service industry. This full-time, 9 month position follows the academic calendar. Must be able to work every other weekend. Uniforms and non-slip safety shoe allowance provided, along with a free meal on scheduled work days.
