Roanoke College offers training for a self-motivated individual to prep and maintain items for the salad bar in our main dining room. Job Responsibilities: • Prepare, portion, and serve salads in an efficient manner. • Maintain the salad bar within the service guidelines and in a neat, clean, and attractive manner. • Perform all pre-opening and closing side duties. • Stock all food items for each meal period. • Consistently strive to improve services offered in the salad room. Desired Qualifications: • High school diploma / equivalent preferred. • Prior food service and/or customer service experience. • Ability to prepare salads and dressings quickly and accurately. • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to comply with all health and safety standards of the organization. Nice-To-Haves: • Knowledge of nutrition and sanitation regulations. • Friendly and courteous attitude. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. • Exceptional organizational skills. This is a full-time, 9-month position that follows the academic calendar. Uniforms and non-slip safety shoe allowance provided, along with a free meal on scheduled work days.
