If you’re ready to work somewhere where you can make a difference in the lives of young people, we are seeking a Coordinator in the Commons, our main dining room. This position works nights, weekends, and holiday availability required. This position is responsible for leading front of the hours staff in the dining area, supervision of the cashier, backs up the hot food line and the yogurt bar, takes care of beverages and supervises those who also share those responsibilities. Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring that breakfast is produced and served in a clean, timely, attractive and an appetizing manner. Assumes role of acting supervisor over the serving line attendants. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for set-up, maintenance and taking down the breakfast/fruit bar • Monitors food on line for replenishment, cleanliness and proper serving utensils • Responsible for seeing that all breakfast items are stocked and prepared for the next day • Attends weekly coordinator meeting • Apply and enforce proper methods of safety and sanitation as instructed by the VDH and Dining Services Management • Ensures open and clear communication between line servers and other staff • Performs other duties as required Our staff must display courtesy, tact and respect in all interactions with our students, members of the RC community, and with the general public. This full-time, 9 month position follows the academic calendar. Must be able to work every other weekend. COVID-19 vaccinations encouraged but not required.
