GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES The Survey Technician 3 assists the County Surveyor with the development and administration of the land survey programs and services. The incumbent leads survey and records management activities; performs advanced-level boundary, cadastral, and construction surveying; conducts research, calculations, evaluation, and documentation necessary to the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) corner restoration process; and serves as the Deputy County Surveyor on technical matters in the absence of the County Surveyor. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor\'s degree in surveying, civil engineering or related field; AND 2. Four years of experience in boundary, engineering or cadastral surveying; OR 3. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
