Marion County Health and Human Services has a position with increased pay specifically for licensed therapists in recognition of the hard work, training, and knowledge that is required for licensure. This is an opportunity for you to join our expanding Adult Behavioral Health Program to support a high-risk and underserved population. In this position, you would provide mental health therapy to individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illnesses (SPMI). You would get to work closely with other providers on the adult outpatient team, including other therapists, skills trainers, case managers, peer support specialists, prescribers, and supported employment and education specialists. An ideal candidate would have great communication skills, be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and have creative problem-solving skills. This position may act as a lead clinician providing clinical consultation and assistance to interns and other staff members. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Provide assessment and treatment services; crisis intervention, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses; or develop and implement specific services in the community. Act as a task supervisor for interns and staff, provide clinical supervision to mental health professionals, to perform various advanced, specialized clinical and treatment services for individuals receiving services and their families. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENS 1. Master\'s degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, or a behavioral science field; OR 2. Bachelor\'s degree in nursing or occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; AND 3. One year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field.
