Job Description

The Kinetic Group’s Applications Team is seeking a Manufacturing Application Developer to add to our team. The Applications Team is responsible in whole or part for all business applications that make our company successful. A member of this team directly supports Manufacturing Operations software needs for 3 high volume facilities and provides application expertise and incident response to business users. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. This role will establish, coordinate, and maintain solution/systems documentation and is responsible for gathering requirements and the design/development/support of a variety of applications (i.e. ballistics test systems, safety observation logs, production data collection, ETL, etc). This position will fill a role on a geographically diverse team and will be part of a rotating on-call process.

This position reports to the Manager of Digital Strategy and Integrations and allows you the flexibility to work from your home office in one of the following states: Arkansas, Idaho, Minnesota or Oregon.

What you’ll do:

  • Primary Support for applications, processes, ETL, and system integration supporting AMMO manufacturing

  • Secondary Support for peripheral ERP system integrations

  • Responsible for gathering requirements, designing, implementing, modifying, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging applications.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications.

  • Participate in design meetings and interact with developers to work towards a common solution.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, break down functional requirements, development tasks, and help execute to completion.

  • Maintain regular contact with internal customers to anticipate, identify, and respond to their needs and expectations.

  • Produce process flows, create instructions, and provide training for internal customers.

  • Work independently and/or with team members to resolve escalated support tickets.

Experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Technology OR equivalent experience

  • 2+ years relevant experience in manufacturing application support

  • Exceptional problem-solving and issue resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company

  • Experience working in a large corporation with multiple locations – preferably in manufacturing

  • Experience working independently, as well as, on a team to accomplish a common tasks

  • Moderate project management skills

  • Expressible commitment to follow through and agility in learning new things

  • Ability to effectively translate business needs into requirements

  • 0 - 25% travel as required

You might have:

  • Experience with source control systems desired

  • ETL experience a plus
