Primary Purpose of Position
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced finance team reporting directly to the Controller. You will lead and motivate others with a positive professional attitude and act with utmost integrity and accountability. You will be responsible for supervising all processes and aspects of financial management and reporting including cash reconciliation, payroll, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, fund accounting, revenue, and billing. You will participate in monthly financial statements preparation, assist in budgeting and forecasting as well as ensuring all necessary health center filings and deadlines are delivered and met in a timely manner. You will support annual audit preparation and deliverables.
Essential Functions:
Manage and mentor staff and senior accountants providing daily guidance and assistance with tasks.
Oversee and serve as a backup and resource regarding all critical finance functions of the department.
Assist and grow into leading all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, payroll, cash management, G/L analysis, fixed assets, pharmacy revenue / oversight, patient revenue / CPA billing, monthly close and financial reporting.
Assist in and eventually take over all aspects of grant accounting; including time and effort reporting, collaborating with the Grants Manager, monthly invoicing, Grant P&L reporting as well as required federal and state reporting.
Assist in compiling a consolidated monthly financial statement package for the Leadership Team, Governing Board, and other significant stakeholders.
Assist in coordinating the annual financial audit with the external auditors, gather information and respond to inquiries.
Review and approve the biweekly payroll submission to Paylocity.
Review cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash.
Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques.
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required.
Check deliverables of self and team to ensure they meet all necessary requirements for HRSA and other governmental filings necessary to maintain federal and state funding.
Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties.
Assist in manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

Requirements
Qualifications:
CPA or MBA preferred
BA/BS in Accounting or finance is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Progressive accounting experience is required
Prior experience in managing / supervising / training a team is preferred
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Practical knowledge of Monthly Financial Statements and adeptness in financial statement preparation and reporting
Experience with Annual Budget preparation and financial forecasting is preferred
Financial Management experience
Outstanding technology, data analysis and data organization experience required
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines is required
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

Physical Requirements:
Requires being able to sit/stand and or walk for long periods of time, as well as the ability to use computers, photocopiers, telehealth equipment and a phone. May need to travel to multiple sites in a day.
