G.A. Food Service, Inc. TMS Production Lead - 1st shift in Saint Petersburg, Florida

Must have the following in order to apply:

  • No minimum education or experience required
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Prior to leadership skills/experience in a manufacturing plant
  • Must follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 8lbs to 25lbs.
  • Communication skills
  • Computer skills: Intermediate
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as machine operation, etc.) most of the workday
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas/water, or similar elements most of the workday
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift

Job Description:

The Production Lead will be responsible for working side by side with line assembly workers and line supervisors facilitating the effective oversight of the production line to accommodate the proposed schedule for their shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate all equipment in a safe and timely manner (our process is primarily manual with machine assistance
  • Able to break down orders into components by case and pallets
  • Train and support line workers in the operation of the assembly line equipment
  • Coordinate material supply to the assembly line and finished goods flow to the warehouse and from the warehouse
  • Fulfill order requirements

Accurately track data for paperwork on the following:

  • Recording waste
  • Recording downtime
  • Recording dates of meals
  • Verifying correct labels
  • Recording information on the Production Sheet
  • Recording information on the Pallet Audit Sheet
  • Accurately follow the NAV
  • Reduce the amount of downtime by effectively managing your own time
  • Comply with the Production standards, efficiency, waste, overweight, pounds-per-man hour
  • Request items to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Other duties assigned by management
