PCG’s Education Strategies team works directly with senior education leaders in the K-12 sector to solve challenging problems, develop long-term strategy, guide change management and support implementation. Project work includes providing strategic direction and technical assistance in support of effective educational systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as project manager and subject matter expert in K-12 education.

  • Leads organizational analysis consulting projects for school districts and state education agencies.

  • Analyzes and interprets federal and state policies, laws, and regulations related to the public education sector.

  • Reviews and be an expert in business operations for service and efficiency improvements.

  • Develops, executes, and leads new growth strategies.

  • Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on sales leads.

  • Independently manages complex projects, staff, and tasks with limited supervision.

  • Develops communication plans with clients.

  • Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders in each engagement.

  • Facilitates client discussions with executive level client leadership.

  • Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.

  • Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.

  • Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.

  • Prepares other written reports and materials for clients.

  • Manages daily project functions and client interaction.

  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations.

  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree strongly preferredMinimum 10+ years’ relevant work experienceExperience working in a school district central office or state department of education strongly preferred

  • Remote office, Boston/Northeast location preferred, with national travel depending on client needs

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $90,000-$125,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below.
