Robert Half PC Technician in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Description
We are in search of a PC Technician to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the setup and maintenance of computer systems, focusing on receiving, configuring, and returning leased equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in unboxing and inventorying incoming equipment.
• Utilize Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for equipment imaging.
• Collaboratively work with senior technical staff in equipment placement, which may occasionally involve travel between city sites.
• Evaluate any physical damage to the equipment, both incoming and outgoing.
• Handle the removal, disk wiping, and packing of equipment for vendor return.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware/software using standard Dell and other Microsoft tools.
• Provide customer service and address customer inquiries.
• Assist in the management of tickets within our ServiceNow tracking system.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PC Technician or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Computer Hardware and Configuration Management
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies, IBM, and Microsoft products
• Experience with Microsoft Access and Active Directory
• Knowledge of Computer Systems and Deployments
• Demonstrated expertise in Deskside Support
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certification or degree in Computer Science, IT or related field would be advantageous Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
