Job Title: Medical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Medical Assemblers. This role primarily involves working in a cleanroom environment, starting in the coiling department. The position requires wearing specific attire including a smock, booties, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and eye glasses. The primary tasks involve using coil winding machines, microscopes, and small hand tools to assemble and inspect medical components.
Responsibilities
Operate coil winding machines to wrap coils around a spindle for medical assembly processes.
Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes for 30-50% of the day.
Perform tasks in various areas such as Molding, CEA Assembly, Laser Welding, and Implantable Housings.
In the Molding area, inspect and deburr parts using tools like pliers, filers, and knives.
In the CEA Assembly areas, work with microscopes and small hand tools to assemble medical components.
In the Laser Welding area, use laser welding machines and microscopes to weld and finish small medical components.
In the Implantable Housings area, operate automated presses and stamping machines, inspect parts, and deburr as needed.
Work with small parts about the size of a pen tip and follow written work instructions.
Sit or stand for 8 hours, depending on the task.
Essential Skills
4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or working with small parts.
4-6+ months of experience using microscopes.
Experience in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to work with small hand tools under and without microscopes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical inclination is beneficial, especially for the housings area.
Hand dexterity is important, sewing experience can be a good crossover.
Adaptability and openness to cross-training in different areas.
Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods.

Work Environment

Positions are primarily in a cleanroom environment requiring specific attire, but some roles are in a non-cleanroom area, which is louder and has a slight oil smell. Candidates must be comfortable with varying tasks and environments, including sitting and standing for different durations. Skirts are allowed with pants or leggings underneath, and athletic hijabs are permitted if tucked in for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.
