Child Care Aware of Minnesota Empower to Educate Coordinator in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Position Description The Empower to Educate Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day operations of Empower to Educate (E2E) and the Empower to Educate Mentorship Program. Empower to Educate is a statewide capacity building initiative designed to support individuals to begin, advance, and sustain their career goals in child care and early childhood education. In this role, you will support a statewide team of Workforce Advisors who meet with Empower to Educate participants and provide individualized career and education advising, job skills training and placement assistance, financial support, and mentorship opportunities. This position requires a deep commitment to and understanding of anti-racism and a passion to collaborate and connect with internal and external partners in the pursuit of an equitable, just early childhood system that meets the needs of all children, families, and educators in Minnesota. This is a full-time position and reports to the Empower to Educate Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides support to Workforce Advisors and Dual-Role Advisors at the CCAoMN District Offices and MNTRECC Co-hosts virtual, 5-part orientation to onboard recently hired Workforce Advisors with support from the E2E Manager Schedules and hosts monthly individual Advisor check-ins in collaboration with Professional Development staff Co-hosts monthly Statewide Advisor Team Meeting in collaboration with the Professional Development staff Utilize equity and inclusion practices to provide Advisors with the information and resources needed to fully support participants in the program Provides additional support to Advisors as needed 2. Manages the E2E inbox and caseload distribution of participation forms 3. Coordinates the Empower to Educate Mentorship Program with the goal of expanding program reach and impact. Utilize outreach and recruitment strategies to connect with prospective E2E Mentors and Mentees Schedules and conducts onboarding screenings with prospective Empower to Educate Mentors Schedules and conducts virtual E2E Mentorship Program Orientation as needed Schedules and hosts bi-monthly E2E Mentor Community Check-Ins Coordinates the Mentor and Mentee 6-month pairing process Available to provide additional support and problem-solve with mentors 4. Support the organization s mission, vision, strategic plan, and anti-racism goals by participating in activities and professional development opportunities.
