Primary Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and deployment of the site's EHS policy.
  • Coordinate/oversee EHS operations to ensure regulatory compliance and permit renewals.
  • Oversee waste disposal, recycling, and treatment programs.
  • Provide assistance and training to team members as required.
  • Identify root cause of EHS problems and propose appropriate action plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain EHS management and monitoring programs.
  • Follow and enforce EHS procedures.
  • Work with management to schedule periodic maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Identify areas of improvement to reduce environmental impact (waste generation/toxicity, water, and energy consumption)
  • Maintain complete and clear documentation for EHS operations and reporting.
  • Develop/maintain hazard control programs to reduce contamination and accidents.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related field  and 3-5 years of experience required. Candidate must have strong working knowledge of all applicable EHS regulations (Title V, Hazardous waste, NPDES, SARA, HazWOPER, etc.).  An ideal candidate would have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as an analytical mindset to collect relevant data and challenge data provided, analyze discrepancies, and maintain data integrity.  Computer Aided Design skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired.
