Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

The Senior Director, Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) leads strategic human capital business partners with multiple Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members and/or firm divisions and leadership teams frequently responsible to Managing Partner. Takes an enterprise view including deeply understanding and consulting on business strategy to translate to human capital strategies leading a team of Senior HCBPs and HCBPs, using a high level of independent judgment and discretion, and partnering across Human Capital with COE's and shared services.

What you'll do:

  • Leader of leaders of associates and individual contributors including responsibility for all work assignments, work review, setting performance expectations, decides on discipline if required, and assesses performance regularly.

  • Deeply understand and provide consulting on Enterprise and Function business strategy to partner with executive leaders in development and implementation of comprehensive human capital strategies across multiple business functions/areas.

  • Leverage internal and external data sources to drive key human capital insights in order to improve quality of decision making.

  • Coach senior executives and leaders on building effective organizations and teams.

  • Lead organizational development and design across multiple divisions.

  • Drive leader and HC accountability for human capital outcomes aligned to business strategy.

  • Provide direction and coach HC leaders and professionals on business strategy and human capital consulting.

  • Ensure development, delivery and alignment of HC products and services to support achievement of business objectives in close partnership with COEs and shared services.

  • Identify and act on key metrics for decision making.

  • Informally coach and develop Business Human Capital (BHC) professionals to contribute to planning, review and execution of HC strategies across business unit(s).

  • Responsibilities require very high level of independent judgement and discretion.

  • Strategic responsibilities include creating business plans and inputs into sub function/divisional strategy.

  • Covers a wide range of diverse activities that require complex judgements and solutions based on conceptual thought and strategic vision analysis.

  • Ability to make decisions within the business strategy guidelines.

  • Possess a high level of sensitivity to the audience, be able to modify the beliefs and opinions of others and negotiate with significant latitude for the final outcomes.

  • Proactive approach in developing ideas and encourages others to take risks in order to improve quality and efficiency in their own work areas. Continuously searches for improvements in techniques which add value to the business and has full responsibility and accountability for implementation.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $163886

Hiring Maximum: $279048

Skills/Requirements

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 15+ years of progressive HC experience in a mid-size or large organization, with experience influencing at an executive leadership level.

  • 5+ years of formal people leadership experience.

  • C Suite/Managing Partner-level business acumen

  • Demonstrated business consultancy and influencing capabilities at the C-Suite/Managing Partner level.

  • Experience developing, building, and maintaining trusting business partnerships at the C-Suite/Managing Partner level and across HR organizations.

  • Demonstrated sound judgement and decision-making capability with data-driven mindset.

  • Experience leading transformation and change at enterprise level.

  • Proven leadership with ability to develop, attract and retain talented HC teams with accountability.
