Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Saint Louis, Missouri
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Employees will work in a union facility on the 3rd shift. Shift times are Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:00am, or Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am. Must have at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance. This role does not require experience with processing equipment, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, or installation of equipment.
Responsibilities
Adjust or repair packaging equipment.
Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and perform other maintenance tasks while keeping all activities documented.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Work with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform PMs, troubleshooting and repair, as well as some project work.
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting
Electrical knowledge and ability to test R&R 110-480v electric motors, circuits, and switches
Preventive maintenance
Knowledge of LOTO (Lock out Tag out) and Emergency Response Procedures
Good interpersonal skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
General understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus
Will receive a higher pay rate if able to provide proof of certain certifications and licenses
