Insight Global Enterprise Data Governance Program Manager in Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description

This role will lead the coordination of our clients Global Master Data Management capability and ensure proper deployment of people, data, technology, and processes to deliver clean, standardized, trustworthy data across all governed data domains. They will deliver oversight and management that ensures program activities are executed with excellence. They will also lead the coordination of data integration resources as part of our clients Digital Transformation projects to include the migration to SAP S4. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead is a critical component of our clients business strategy and reports to the Director of Data Governance. This role will combine strong project management skills with data governance/data management subject-matter expertise to ensure the successful expansion of our clients Global Data Management capability. This is a unique role because it exists at the often-misunderstood intersection of data governance and data management. Success will rely on the ability to interact with master data management principles to understand tactical and technical issues/decisions then translate those to the broader requirements of broader, strategic data governance goals. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead will work closely with the Data Governance Council to ensure global standards are understood across all Digital Transformation projects. They will also work with master data management Colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities for greater standardization and efficiencies. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead will facilitate requirements gathering, project planning, and project status management across multiple data governance initiatives, including the SAP S4 project. In this role, s/he will maintain one consolidated project plan for all in-scope data activities, including the tasks, timing, and owners. Maintain issues and risks associated with master data activities and report status to the Director of Data Governance and other leaders. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead will participate as a core team member on our clients S4 migration program and be accountable for data migration, data quality, and coordination of project activities. This is a highly collaborative role and, as such, facilitates joint brainstorming and team collaboration. The Enterprise Data Governance Lead will clearly communicate the importance of developing and enforcing standards for consistent, clean data. This role works closely with her/his team and key stakeholders to establish enterprise processes.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of relevant experience and proven track record in leveraging, managing, and delivering master data products to stakeholders throughout the organization.

 Large scale ERP systems (SAP S4 and MDG is preferred)

 Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. The position is designed to interact with numerous departmental heads/management aiding them in the proper application of data policies, leading to functional improvement. Will require the skill to communicate complex ideas effectively.

 Must demonstrate a passion for research and data and be highly skilled in managing complex data environments to increase efficiencies and eliminate duplicate processes.

 The candidate must also be highly skilled in the use of analytics toolsets, being able to identify and recommend complementary tools to provide governance of key data processes.

 Will be self-motivated, proactive, taking initiative and have exceptional problem-solving skills. Must work comfortably in a cross-functional setting and with senior business executives. Take accountability for the businesss performance and have an ability to remain calm and composed under stress and uncertainty, inspiring the same in her/his team. Must also have a natural ability to make strong, lasting, and meaningful connection with others, which will aid in the execution of duties in this highly collaborative role. null
