Job Summary:

Performs standard 12-lead EKGs and rhythm strips, using computerized electrocardiographs. Maintains appropriate patient and departmental records, including posting of interpreted tests in the patient medical record and patient charges.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Performs standard 12 lead EKG using computerized electrocardiograph.

Performs rhythm strips using computerized electrocardiograph

Edits and retrieves EKGs and reports

Job Specifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Training or experience performing EKGs;

REQUIRED COURSE: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional prolonged standing/walking. Occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Lifts supplies/equipment. Requires manual dexterity and mobility. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, pulling 100+ pounds.
