Boeing Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front-Line Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of systems engineers supporting the Direct Attack (DA) business for Precision Engagement Systems (PES) in Saint Charles, MO . The DA portfolio includes multiple advanced development programs providing mission critical capabilities across a diverse customer set. The Systems Engineering organization is responsible for developing end-to-end system solutions from requirements development through production using disciplined system engineering methodologies. This position will also manage the Weapons Simulation Team including design, integration, production, test and delivery of hardware and software.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of systems engineering processes, ensuring the successful integration and testing of complex systems, and managing a team of engineers to deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements. They will also have proven experience in a leadership role, including managing teams and driving project success as well as a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Weapons Simulation Team including design, integration, production, test and delivery of HW/SW.

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Utilizes Cost Account Management (CAM).

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master of Science in an engineering discipline.

  • Experience leading or managing an engineering team.

  • Previous management experience.

  • Model Based Systems Engineering experience.

  • Cost Account Management experience.

  • Lean experience.

  • Weapons/Aircraft Integration experience.

  • Weapons experience.

  • Aircraft/Ground Systems and Avionics experience.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $137,700 - $186,300
