Immediate supervisor: Senior Manager, Programming Planning
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate recording devices and editing computer system
Research and produce commercial, promotional and programming messages for the station
Record demos on demand and email MP3 files
Check all recordings, correct defects, ensure French language is respected in the text, control recorded audio, spot any imperfections, ensure technical quality and resume recordings as needed
Control the duration of the recorded texts and respect the expected duration
Create or adapt "jingles," program openings, chronic, import them into the broadcasting system (WideOrbit), and provide audio numbers to those involved
Perform a monthly backup of all Adobe Audition arrangements
Maintain audio files of advertising or promotional campaigns
Import all sound image recordings into WideOrbit
Immediately report any technical issues to their manager
Prepare and submit required reports as they relate to their work
Validate the logs of the day or days to come and ensure that all promotional audios and audio audio film elements scheduled for broadcast are produced and ready for broadcast
Ensure the placement of sound wrapping elements and, if necessary, assume the creation of sound wrapping elements inherent to the various programs as well as the two antennas in general
Dubbing messages as required
Edit and export podcasts to our digital platforms as required
Use task management software to schedule and record time
Act as a WideOrbit “superuser” when required
Perform all other related tasks related to their function
Competencies:
College education and/or experience in a similar job
Experience with Audition software
Minimum of 2 years experience in radio production
Good knowledge of the radio environment
Creativity and originality
Organization, attention to detail and attention to detail required
Ability to work in an environment with tight deadlines
Teamwork skills
Knowledge of Wide Orbit Automation is an asset
