The Sawmill Line Cook/Prep Cook in Saginaw, Michigan

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of delicious dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Cook and assemble dishes as per restaurant recipes and specifications
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized cooking station
  • Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Head Chef

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or relevant role
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Understanding of food safety practices
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
