Position Overview

The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing their assigned unit. This includes ensuring the program model is clear and implemented correctly, that personnel are trained and supported to promote child and family well-being and recovery, and that all children on the unit receive effective clinical services. This position provides direct therapeutic services for children and clinical supervision and coaching for residential staff.

Responsibilities:

Provides guidance for residential personnel.

Conducts group work and individual therapy with children and oversees program compliance with required supervision of such services.

Co-chairs weekly team meetings

Provides weekly one-on-one supervision with direct reports and monthly group supervision for direct reports.

Ensures all personnel on the unit are receiving the appropriate weekly individual and group supervision.

Provides oversight of unit's clinical work, including documentation review

Provides crisis intervention while upholding fidelity to program intervention models.

Collaborate with the team, across units, and across departments to ensure child success and positive culture.

Monitor milieu and contribute to decisions regarding resident admission.

Conduct intakes, screenings, and assessment for children on the unit.

Ensures comprehensive assessment and service planning for children to promote healing.

Maintain continuous visibility and accessibility, including the provision of real-time coaching on unit.

Provide court testimony and recommendations and needed.

Provides direction for treatment planning.

Uphold compliance with all regulations as required on the unit.

Mentoring personnel for professional growth

Articulating the agency's treatment philosophy and values

Ensures appropriate specialized training for personnel to succeed with a particular unit's target population.

Coach direct and indirect personnel on continuously improving performance.

Provide performance evaluation for all direct reports and ensure that the performance of indirect reports is evaluated.

Shapes and guides unit culture to be trauma informed, compassionate, and upholding children's and families' dignity.

Collaborate with family therapists and other personnel to develop and execute a family plan.

Abide by licensing and contract obligations, including participating in audits, reporting and investigations as needed.

Ensures adequate leadership engagement in licensing and investigation reports.

Provide 24-hour crisis on call availability to treatment team on an as needed basis.

Monitors personnel time and approves Paycor/payroll documentation.

Communicating timely with internal and external stakeholders with a high level of professionalism
