Robert Half HR Coordinator in Sacramento, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a HR Coordinator in our Non-Profit organization based in Sacramento, California. This role involves a wide range of HR functions such as maintaining employee records, assisting in recruitment, coordinating onboarding processes, and managing employee queries.
Responsibilities:
• Addressing and resolving employee queries regarding benefits, company policies, and procedures
• Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job ads, organizing resumes, and coordinating interviews
• Coordinating employee onboarding processes, which include conducting background checks and setting up new hires in the HR system
• Maintaining accurate HR records for all employees in compliance with privacy laws and company policies
• Preparing HR-related documents such as employment contracts and new hire guides
• Coordinating training sessions and seminars
• Managing employee leave and time off requests
• Supporting the performance review and evaluation process
• Assisting in creating a supportive and motivating workspace aligned with our company goals. Requirements • Must have previous experience in a Human Resources role within the non-profit industry
• Proficiency in conducting background checks in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
• Demonstrated experience in onboarding new employees, including conducting new employee orientation
• Proven experience in recruiting, including developing job descriptions, screening candidates, and conducting interviews
• Strong skills in training and development, including identifying training needs, developing training materials, and delivering training to employees
• Familiarity with HR software and systems is preferred
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Must have a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is an advantage
