Sutter Health Healthcare Facility Planner III, Access Specialist in Sacramento, California

Position Overview:

Provides direct support in programming and planning for capital construction projects; coordinates multidisciplinary user meetings; facilitates clinical process assessment, clarifies functional needs; works with architects to ensure that schematic designs are optimally laid out; reviews drawings at various stages up to and through design development to ensure adherence to optimized processes and program requirements. Advises construction project representatives on medical equipment planning requirements for major construction, renovations, and expansion projects, and helps establish guidelines for medical equipment and standard room templates. The position may also apply to planning service line subject matter expert staff in the areas of physical access compliance, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems engineering, entitlements/land use, standards development and management, or medical equipment/furniture planning.

Job Description :

This is a work from home role with onsite requirements. The successful candidates will live within the Sutter footprint.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • California Access Specialist (CASp) certification

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • General understanding of project coordination/management, budgeting and scheduling concepts and procedures, as well as the process of project planning, design and construction.

  • Possess knowledge of basic concepts of the various professional services contracts implemented in the industry.

  • Proficient in interpretation of architectural and engineering designs and computer modeling.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member and achieve designated goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrate oral, written and, presentation communication skills.

  • Capable of interacting effectively with individuals/groups at various levels within the organization.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage numerous and rapidly changing tasks/priorities.

  • Detail-oriented, producing timely results and able to work with a minimum of close supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage and balance multiple interests and resolve conflicts.

  • MEP systems engineering subject matter expert (SME) should be capable of providing engineering support on up to 10 concurrent projects with an aggregate project cost up to $100,000,000.00.

  • Entitlements/Land use, standards development and management, and medical equipment/furniture planning SMEs must be conversant and capable of competently providing either individually or as support staff general facility planning/capital project accountabilities on up to 10 concurrent projects with an aggregate project cost up to $100,000,000.00 of the MEP systems engineer SME.

Pay Range is $64.84 to $97.26 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
