We are seeking a Facilities Equipment Specialist. The Facility Equipment Specialist role is to operate and service the facility's production and blending equipment. The specialist will provide maintenance and technical support, and monitor all machines in the warehouse. This role also includes the manufacturing of blended products. Duties Include,

  • Determines departmental equipment needs; prepares specifications; inspects equipment received from vendors; makes recommendations in connection with the purchase, operation, and maintenance.

  • Follows and develops preventative maintenance program to maintain equipment reliability.

  • Perform QC analysis, identify product changes and segregate as required

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and operate all machines and equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, fillers, labelers, printers, coders, box formers, sealers, cappers, pallet-wrappers, augers, blenders, baggers, forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, scrubbers, pumps, valves etc.

  • Monitor the equipment as it operates, monitor the process-pace/productivity, and recognize when something is out of adjustment.

salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Determines departmental equipment needs; prepares specifications; inspects equipment received from vendors; makes recommendations in connection with the purchase, operation, and maintenance.

  • Monitor the equipment as it operates, monitor the process-pace/productivity, and recognize when something is out of adjustment.

  • Plan, organize, and communicate responsibilities and priorities to ensure the successful operation of the department.

  • Perform QC analysis, identify product changes and segregate as required.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and operate all machines and equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, fillers, labelers, printers, coders, box formers, sealers, cappers, pallet-wrappers, augers, blenders, baggers, forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, scrubbers, pumps, valves etc

The essential functions of this role include:

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

  • Mechanical Maintenance (3 years of experience is required)

  • production supervisor (2 years of experience is required)

  • Quality Control (2 years of experience is required)
