Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role primarily involves processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and executing payments. It also requires maintaining and updating vendor files, managing the accounts payable inbox, and responding to vendor inquiries. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing vendor invoices with precise coding and approval

• Verifying vendor statements and reconciling them with our financial records

• Preparing and executing payments through various methods

• Maintaining and updating vendor files to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Efficiently managing the accounts payable inbox and responding promptly to vendor inquiries

• Assisting with month-end closing processes to ensure timely financial reporting

• Collaborating with the purchasing department to ensure receipt of goods and services

• Preparing and maintaining accounts payable reports and spreadsheets for easy access and reference

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations

• Assisting with internal and external audits as needed by providing necessary accounts payable records and documentation

• Leveraging Accounting Software Systems for efficient accounts payable operations

• Proficiently utilizing Microsoft Excel for data entry and discrepancy checks. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is essential

• Knowledge of IBM AS/400 will be advantageous

• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is necessary

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must be able to execute Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary

• Proficiency in Check Processing is required

• Must have strong Data Entry skills

• Ability to handle Discrepancies effectively is necessary.
