SGS North America, Inc. Auditor, Certification Audit in Rutherford, New Jersey
Performing audits in conformity with the SGS Global/Local procedures and sector specific schemes, including those with Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) recognition and non-accredited food safety auditing programs; Ensuring proper application and compliance with the SGS Certification Management System with regard to all activities, and coordinating with the Product Managers and Accreditation Manager regarding changes to its design and implementation; Ensuring efficient and commercially expedient operation of the SGS Certification Management System; Analyzing information and evidence gained during audits and making the determination as to whether or not registration should be recommended or allowed to continue; Actively contributing to witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies; Maintaining all audit credentials necessary for the SGS audit procedures to be implemented; Ensuring that SGS maintains all current accreditations and managing the process of gaining any additional accreditations; and Managing and resolving any customer complaints or queries from the accreditation body and reporting the results of such to the Business Manager. Performing technical review of FSSC, ISO 22000, HACCP & GMP audit packages.Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agricultural Engineering or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation with the relevant experience. Experience must include: Three (3) years of experience and qualified as FSSC 22000 lead auditor (especially High-Risk products); Two (2) years of experience in quality assurance function or food safety management system coordination; One (1) year of experience as a FSPCA Lead Instructor for clients training; One (1) year experience as a CQI/IRCA certified FSMS principal auditor for clients training. Must have advanced knowledge of food certification procedures. Must have CQI/IRCA FSMS Principal Auditor certification. Requires 80% of travel. May work from home anywhere in the United States within reasonable commuting distance of a major airport.
