HUNT GUILLOT & ASSOCIATES LLC Chemical Commercial Director/ General Manager in RUSTON, Louisiana

The Commercial Director/General Manager is a direct-hire position working for a specialty chemical client in the Texas City, TX area.

Position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Primary role is the administration and management of the companys commercial agreements, including the off-take agreements with company's two principal customers, feedstock supply agreement, two operations and maintenance contracts for the ammonia plant and marine storage and export facility, and the marine terminal services agreement, as well as other commercial agreements. The Commercial Director/General Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller to prepare and manage monthly invoices to the two off-takers for ammonia cargoes sold during the month and confirm payable invoices. The position will also manage staff and consultants, including the company's Operations Director, Engineering Director and a Logistics Controller.

Essential Job Responsibilities: Works with the Financial Controller each month to determine the sale price of ammonia product according to the terms of the companys off-take agreements and confirms the purchase price of the products feedstock according to the terms of the feedstock supply agreement. Manages companys Logistics Coordinator and Operations Director coordinate and manage logistics operations to ensure the timely loading and associated documentation of anhydrous ammonia from storage into refrigerated gas carriers and barges, and to manage storage tank inventory and maintain continuous production. Manages companys Operations Director and Engineering Director in achieving production objectives, and the health, safety, and environment objectives, as delivered by the two principal operations and maintenance contractors. Works with key stakeholders to develop and maintain effective working relationships required to achieve the companys business objectives. Assists the CEO in preparing regular reports for the board of directors.

Commercial Director/General Manager Qualifications: Bachelors degree (MBA a plus) with a degree in engineering, accounting/business, or related field 15+ years of experience with hydrocarbon refined products, refrigerated gas or chemical industry experience, preferably with ammonia or other refrigerated gases (e.g. propane, butane, ethane, etc.), ideally in both operations and commercial areas. Experience with originating and/or administering sale/purchase agreements for refined products, refrigerated gas or chemicals and energy (power and natural gas). Experience with Ammonia or Methanol a plus. Exposure to and/or experience with marine terminal operations and logistics for loading these products for export.
