Job Description

Role summary/Main purpose

This role is a key member of the manufacturing team reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. Successful candidates will be responsible for the general administration of the manufacturing team including monitoring and submitting overtime and shift information to payroll, coordination of holidays and sickness and working as a key point of contact for the manufacturing team for general queries and assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage time and attendance system daily – including transferring information onto a spreadsheet for manual calculations to payroll to report on hours, overtime, shifts, and any absences.

  • ensuring all overtime calculations are correct and up to date in time for payroll cut offs

  • Monitor absences (holiday/sickness/pass outs) and ensure process is followed correctly and accurate records are kept and recorded in various systems.

  • Produce reports weekly/monthly for employees and finance confirming the overtime rates.

  • SAP administration such as creating and maintaining shift patterns, inserting hours, raising tickets to resolve issues, creation for new employees and contractors.

  • Administer contractor time sheets and raise purchase requisitions for contract labour.

  • Raising Purchase Order requests for contractors, consumables, training, and other ad hoc needs.

  • Assisting shop floor operators with a range of IT issues, including email and annual benefit renewals

  • Ensure noticeboards and communications/forms are kept up to date at all times.

  • Understand and awareness of health and safety with the occasional need to ensure contractors and visitors have had health and safety inductions.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software, especially Excel

  • Proven ability of accurate data entry/administration

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels

  • Proactive nature with the ability to multitask and priorities

  • Good organisational skills

Desired skills

  • Experience of SAP

  • Experience of working in a busy environment
