Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Royal Oaks, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant located in Royal Oaks, California. As a Sr. Accountant, your primary role will be to manage all accounting operations, including projects to enhance internal control over financial reporting, monitor inventory-related activities, and provide financial analysis support for management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including projects aimed at strengthening internal control over financial reporting

• Regularly reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations for unusual transactions

• Lead the monthly financial close process and produce related reports

• Interact with all departments to assure the accuracy of costs and other financial reporting

• Monitor key financial facility performance indicators

• Conduct periodic inventory counts with operations to ensure inventory valuation is correctly stated

• Provide financial analysis support for management, including cost analysis for new product lines, margin analysis for products, customers, and territories, and other necessary analysis as requested by management

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in financial systems

• Manage customer credit, collection, and rebate programs

• Maintain capital accounts, files, and reporting

• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget, assisting all areas as needed

• Work with Auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end

• Safeguard company assets and comply with all safety rules and regulations. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of three years of experience as an Accountant

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in maintaining General Ledger and processing Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Must have experience with Month End Close

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is required

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus

• Must adhere to all company policies and regulations

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
