Overview

This role performs a variety of electrical tasks safely, including installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, repairing and installation in large commercial projects. Will also perform general maintenance duties to include general repairs, carpentry, and plumbing needs.

1st shift 6:30am to 3pm. This role supports all Royal Oak School District sites. Company vehicle provided for daily use.

Pay: $23.38/hour

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical installations of a commercial nature

• Perform duties to including bending conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes

• Works from ladders and lifts to install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring

• Perform reactive repairs, inspect and tests electrical systems.

• Install wall packs, exit signs, wall fixtures, breakers

• Reads and understands labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately to perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards

• Perform other duties or be required to work on different projects as needed, including carpentry, general maintenance, and plumbing repairs

• Utilize CMMS for work orders and progress documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ hands on, electrical maintenance experience preferred.

• Must have basic knowledge/understanding of electrical repairs and codes

• Must be able to physically perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and climbing

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Valid Driver’s License
