Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a full-time experienced Sr. Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified diverse individuals in Proposal Operations within the Program Execution & Operations (PEO) integrated product team (IPT).

What You'll get to do:

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate should also have the ability to champion actions, and complete tasks with little supervision. This position is located in Roy, UT.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead collaborative, engaged teams to develop, review, and submit proposals that effectively represent our strategy and baseline while eliminating non-compliances and limiting weaknesses.

  • Develop efficient and effective proposal execution plans in response to complex solicitations from U.S. Government and other customers.

  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and core team on proposal execution approach and roles and responsibilities.

  • Ensure adherence to schedule, and continually manage risk to address volatility in proposal requirements, deadlines, and our offerings.

  • Facilitate the operational progression of RFP/RFI/ROM/ECP responses to the program customer.

  • Act as a liaison to ensure high quality submittals and adherence to relative program toolsets and processes.

  • Review and present status of proposals, projects, and budgets.

  • Assess project challenges and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for managing and monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving through collaboration with project managers, IPTs, and functional management and process improvement.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in Program Management, Project Management, Business Management, Estimating, or Industrial Engineering with a bachelor’s degree; 8 years with a Masters. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher and Special Program Access (SAP).

  • Multiple years’ experience leading high performing teams with a focus on project completion, prioritizing schedule deadlines.

  • Multiple years’ experience coaching/mentoring teammates.

  • Prior team lead and task delegation experience.

  • Experience supporting DOD Programs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills; ability to present concepts and recommendations to all levels within the organization.

  • Proficient on MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with U.S. space systems related customers and proposals.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Government’s competitive acquisition process including federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR).

  • Experience developing Basis of Estimates (BOE).

Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
