About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening in our Hill AFB, Utah location for a Senior Principal Cloud System Administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Implement and manage the client s cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure and other hosting services in a highly technical role that provides excellent career development opportunities
Work as a member and lead a technical team in the design, implementation, and operation of the client's systems infrastructure
Demonstrate strong technical design, documentation, presentation, and troubleshooting skills while working in complex environments
Train leaders in other departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
Develop recommendations for enhancing our software support services
Develop security baselines and standards for Azure and other resources, hardening and strengthening security to exceed the latest best practices
Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with vendors in the research, development, and implementation of various technologies
Troubleshoot and resolve issues including end-user support via phone, email, and remote control
Ensure assigned operating systems and applications are compliant with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD) directives and guidelines, including Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) bulletins

The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date.
Clearance Requirement
The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. An active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required degree and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:
High School Diploma and 18 years of relevant work experience, or
BS/BA Degree (typically in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technologies, etc.) and 14 years relevant work experience, or
MS/MA Degree and 12 years of relevant work experience
Related experience in system engineering and administration, including system design, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades
Migrating and supporting large and complex systems in an enterprise environment in the cloud
Managing cloud infrastructure in a production environment to ensure high availability and reliability
Maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting physical and virtual server infrastructure
Maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
Deployment and Administration of various internal & external IT systems, including:
Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.
Windows Server: 2016, 2019; Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 and 9
Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Office 365
Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and Teams
Containers, containerization, and Kubernetes
Understanding of cloud technologies, such as IaaS, PaaS, Software-defined networks (SDN), and other emerging technology
Scripting and automation of administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting/programming languages
Communicating effectively with internal and external resources necessary to successfully complete assignments or projects
Proactively managing and prioritizing multiple related projects, assignments, timelines, milestones, and follow-up communications
Experience with Operating systems, e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019, RHEL 8
Conducting training for leaders of other departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
Hands-on experience with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) supporting large-scale deployments as an administrator
Experience with migrating and/or extending on-premises networks to the cloud
Experience with troubleshooting and solving Infrastructure and networking issues
Implementing Cloud Infrastructure Solutions
Implementing Hybrid and Pure Cloud solutions
Certification Requirement

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Cloud Certification
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef and DevOps practices
Experience administering Microsoft SharePoint
Experience administering Atlassian productivity products like Jira and Confluence
Database administration in Oracle or SQL Server database management systems
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
