Robert Half Senior Tax Accountant in Round Rock, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant in the manufacturing industry. This role is based in Round Rock, Texas, 78681, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tax reporting activities, including federal income tax reporting, multi-state tax reporting, and filing local property tax renditions. This role will also involve tax estimating for planning, developing SFAS109 forecasts, reconciling tax accounts monthly, and providing technical guidance to other accountants and clerks.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and file federal income tax estimates and annual returns, collaborating with tax consultants as necessary

• Handle multi-state tax reporting, which includes filing estimates and annual returns for income, franchise, property, local, sales etc., and coordinating reporting with multi-state consultants

• Manage filing of local property tax renditions and coordinate estimates and returns with tax consultant

• Perform tax estimating for planning and make monthly tax entries

• Develop SFAS109 forecasts as part of the role's responsibilities

• Reconcile tax accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy

• Interface with external auditors, tax consultants, federal and state tax auditors, and taxing agencies

• Provide technical guidance to other accountants and clerks, and provide special reports or charts as requested

• Ensure regular attendance as this is an essential function of this role

• Adhere to company policies, including maintaining a drug-free workplace, adhering to Company ISO 9001 standards, and complying with the Company Affirmative Action Plan and safety procedures

• Incorporate standards of excellence into daily activities to create a total quality environment through personal commitment to excellence

• Regularly contact accounting personnel and tax consultants to ensure smooth operations

• Take on any additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CapEx

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to work with ERP Solutions

• Understanding of various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to handle Cash Activity

• Compliance knowledge and ability to ensure it within the organization
