Development InfoStructure Operations Manager in Rossyln, Virginia

Development InfoStructure LLC., (DEVIS) provides exceptional DevSecOps integration in our agile software development and embedded software solutions, combined with comprehensive IT management and consulting services to our federal, state, and local governments. Overview

Development InfoStructure (Devis) is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in supporting the State Department operations in the Washington, D.C. area. This position requires onsite presence five days a week with the flexibility of situational telework with advanced notice and approval.

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the facilities, purchasing, and other operational aspects of State Department projects. They will be responsible for overseeing supplies, materials, equipment, space requirements, software licenses, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. This position requires strong communication skills to coordinate status updates, inventory reports, and notifications to staff and leadership effectively. The Operations Manager will also coordinate various tasks such as cleaning, shredding, disposition, site security measures, conference rooms, inventories, as well as travel requests and vouchers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the purchase and maintenance of supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for daily operations.

  • Monitor space requirements and ensure efficient utilization of office space, working to improve the workspace functionality and aesthetics.

  • Coordinate with building management to share notifications promptly and ensure staff and leadership are informed of relevant updates or changes.

  • Coordinate suite cleaning schedules and ensure a clean and organized workspace.

  • Monitor suite access and coordinate escorts to ensure the security of personnel and assets.

  • Develop and implement emergency planning procedures to ensure the staff safety.

  • Coordinate conference rooms and support facilities requirements for meetings and events.

  • Maintain up-to-date asset inventories, ensuring accurate records for terms of service and license compliance.

  • Manage software and hardware purchasing processes, workflows, and tickets.

  • Coordinate inventory audits, replacement, and disposition processes.

  • Facilitate tracking and processing of travel requests and travel vouchers.

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth logistics coordination for travel-related activities.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar operational role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.

  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency planning procedures.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Experience with Department of State policies, regulations, and processes strongly preferred

    Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

    Clearance Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
