Salvation Army Accounting Processor in Roseville, Minnesota

Position Summary The Accounting Processor is responsible for account coding and data entry of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. 2445 Prior Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 Full Time, up to $26/hour Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Accurately process, code, and record invoices, reimbursement requests, and cash receipts (35%). Assist accountants in processing in-kind donations and monitoring usage of purchased gift cards (20%). Deposit funds and print checks, as assigned (15%). Perform administrative support tasks e.g., scanning documents and preparing audit documents (15%). Ensure adequate supporting documentation for transactions; filing in a timely manner (10%). Process and sort incoming mail (5%). Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred. Previous experience in data processing and account coding preferred. Must pass background checks. Competencies Willing to support the philosophy, goals, and mission of The Salvation Army. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. High level of honor in dealing with confidential information. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence. Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds at a time. Competency with PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe, General Ledgers, and standard office equipment required. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, and work in person or on the phone for reasonable periods. Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
