Job Description

An Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (HSE) is an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science, to identify, analyze, and resolve safety and environmental issues. This senior position will work hand in hand with the HSE.

  • Lead and/or provide input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes or regulations as they relate to chemicals, their use, management, and safety.

  • Oversee management of area audits, noise and Face Velocity monitoring, and other IH assessments as required for compliance with internal policies and procedures and agency regulations.

  • Assist in the maintenance of safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OSHA VPP).

  • Collaborate and participate as a valued member of the HSE department and site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support and coordinate activities and processes.

  • Collaborate with other Bosch HSE sites and regions to improve overall performance in North America

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental, or related major.

  • Minimum of 7 years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise of chemicals and gases; semiconductor processes helpful.

  • Experience in industrial hygiene assessment and environmental monitoring.

  • Able to conduct risk mitigation, implement control strategies, evaluate hazardous conditions and methods for onsite chemicals, processes, and machine installation.

  • Advanced knowledge of Federal and local regulatory structures specifically, U.S EPA eGGRT and CARB greenhouse gas reporting and pollution abatement.

  • Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

  • Strong computer and data management skills desired. Experience with web-based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.

  • Ability to work as part of a team, while driving individual project work and activities towards the team's goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred.

  • Experience with sustainability, including energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and air abatement.

  • Knowledgeable in Federal and State regulations including California hazardous waste management requirements

  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements.

  • Embrace responsibility, initiative, capacity to work independently and as a team with dedication to producing high quality work through a high level of personal motivation, integrity, and accountability.

  • Must have the ability to prioritize in a challenging environment of competing needs, implement and bring projects to closure in a timely manner.

  • Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to interact comfortably and communicate effectively to multiple cross functional audiences and teams.

Additional Information

  • Ability to travel within regions up to 10% of the time.

  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.

  • Monday – Friday Shift, overtime and on call when necessary

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $120,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
