Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a growing construction company that is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with managing payroll processes for both union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws. This is an in the office position based in Roseville, CA. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full cycle of in-house weekly certified payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments for employees.

• Handle weekly payroll-related payments including taxes, garnishments, and 401k contributions.

• Prepare weekly certified payroll reports using internal reporting forms and various programs.

• Conduct internal audits to ensure labor compliance on public works projects and adherence to prevailing wage requirements.

• Prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax filings and payments for IRS, California, and Nevada.

• Handle unemployment verifications and audits, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and increase overall efficiency.

• Perform other assigned duties as required, showing flexibility and commitment to the role.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a Payroll Specialist

• Proficiency in Certified Payroll procedures

• Experience with both Union and Non-Union Payroll processing

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
