Sutter Roseville has 405 licensed beds, a full array of services and programs designed to serve the growing community, and a level II American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center serving a seven-county region. In Roseville, we provide integrated healthcare services through the growing Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Sutter Medical Foundation and Sutter Rehabilitation Institute. Specialized services included Sutter Cancer Center, Roseville, the Family Birth Center, and the Trauma Center.

Our tradition of providing leading medical care to the growing community continues today. since opening Sutter Roseville in 1997 we have made significant additions to the medical center that include the Breast Health Center and Bariatric (Weight Loss) Surgery, new technology, state of the art equipment, and top of the line health care services to Roseville and the surrounding area.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department in the areas of staff supervision, maintenance of clinical programs, effective intra- and inter-departmental communication, workload assignment and proper allocation of Pharmacy resources to deliver quality patient care. Assures the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products and completion of the department's clinical function, participates in the quality improvement process, and ensures that patient therapy is consistent with current medical practice, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and drug manufacturers' recommendations, current literature and/or other information sources.

EDUCATION:

  • Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • PHARMD -Licensed Pharmacist.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 8 years of recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Drug Utilization Review Procedures and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring.

  • Demonstrated working and administrative understanding of outpatient and unit dose dispensing, IV admixture compounding, and other inpatient and clinical programs.

  • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.

  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing work environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.

  • Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.

  • Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

Pay Range is $91.30 to $146.08 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
