Lisa Cole with Robert Half is currently in search of a diligent Assistant Controller to join a real estate and construction company. The role involves assisting the Corporate Controller in managing the financial reporting process for a multi-entity corporation, overseeing monthly and annual financial reporting processes, and managing cash balances. Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Corporate Controller in managing financial reporting for multi-entity operations, including monthly, quarterly and yearly closings.

• Coordinate with external CPA for annual audit, tax provision and tax return.

• Oversee monthly loan draw and financial reporting processes for entities undergoing construction.

• Administer corporate and project cash balances, ensuring payments are made in accordance to tax agency and legal guidelines.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff and oversee day-to-day operations.

•Prepare corporate budget annually and review and revise forecasts regularly.

• Prepare monthly invoices and manage accounts payable processes.

• Monitor and project cash balances for the corporation and construction entities.

• Participate in various real estate and equity transactions.

• Help design, implement and maintain internal controls, processes and procedures.

Requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

• A candidate with a CPA license (active or inactive) or CPA candidate would be highly preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Solid understanding of GAAP, tax reporting, and industry-specific finance regulations.

• Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
