Flint Hills Resources Project Manager - Automation and Monitoring in Rosemount, Minnesota

Your Job Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, MN, located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro, is seeking an Automation and Monitoring Project Manager for our fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment, who has a strong focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. We are looking for someone who can create the environment for the project teams to deliver successful outcomes of multiple projects in various phases in a timely and safe manner, anticipate and challenge situations, solve problems, remove roadblocks, and make sound recommendations. Our Team This position will contribute to cross-functional project teams to efficiently implement FHR's $30MM+ portfolio of monitoring projects designed to increase field data information flow further enhancing the Pine Bend's process modeling and operational performance. This position is accountable to partner with project team members for project planning, design development, and execution, including creation of schedules, cost estimates, and scopes of work. What You Will Do Manage a large portfolio of Process Equipment Automation and Monitoring projects by contributing to a project team consisting of multiple Capabilities including engineers, operations, construction, and vendors As the monitoring portfolio project manager, you will ensure all aspects of the project including scope, technology selection, safety, environmental, construction, operations, and reliability are carefully considered and understanding the constraints. Managing multiple capital projects using a Principled approach that ensures the quality and competitive performance expected by stakeholders Effectively managing costs and schedule to drive toward best in industry Developing comprehensive project execution plans with focus on scope, cost, schedule, risk management, engineering, procurement, and construction Communicating capital project status to various stakeholders within the organization Utilizing knowledge & experience with earned decision rights to create value in a project management environment that ensures the quality and competitive performance expected by stakeholders Utilizing skills to recognize opportunities for value creation and innovation in the project management work processes Infrequent turnarounds may require weekend and evening hours for project support Physical requirements including climbing ladders/stairs to elevated platforms Travel 10% as needed Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technology field 3+ years' experience involving projects and/or engineering in refining, chemical, or a heavy industrial or automated manufacturing environments What Will Put You Ahead Experience leading complex or transformational automation and/or monitoring projects with in-depth knowledge of automation technologies, tools, and methodologies Experience with change management principles and practices.
