ADP Chatbot Developer in Roseland, New Jersey

ADP is hiring a Chatbot Developer to be part of our HR Technology Team.

The HR Technology team is responsible for transforming Human Resources with science, technology and human intelligence. Our team builds state of the art technology solutions to create a frictionless experience to our associates, through a seamless digital journey.

Associate experience is top of mind when we think about developing digital tools for our associates. We are looking for an experienced Chatbot / Conversational AI Developer, specializing in architecting, implementing, deploying, and maintaining virtual assistant experiences. You will help us reinvent how associates connect with HR using technology and how we provide support by merging automation with user experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Take ownership of technical execution of our HR chatbots and sprint activities, including: helping define code standards, conducting code/quality reviews and hands on development of new or complex functionality, training and analyzing NLU models, and implementing conversational flows

  • Critically analyze existing and new development to ensure standards and quality, with an eye towards simplicity, maintainability, and scalability

  • Coordinate with other development team members to define working process and task management to ensure sprint goals are delivered on time and with quality

  • Help keep solution documentation up to date and clearly organized

  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and technology partners to improve our underlying chatbot platform, including feature requests and issue management

  • Partner with the Product Owners to identify areas of improvement and enhancement

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years of experience building chatbots and virtual assistants. Experience with the IBM Watson platform preferred.

  • Hands on, working knowledge of NLU training, testing, and analysis concepts

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, Postman or similar tools, and related concepts

  • Experience with Python, R, Javascript/Typescript, and/or SQL

  • Experience with AWS, OpenAI, or other Conversational or Generative AI platforms is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of machine learning technologies related to NLU/NLP, and training concepts like validation sets, k-fold testing, precision/recall/accuracy.

  • Ability to critically analyze current chatbot experiences and new requirements to identify potential improvements.

  • Creative, outside of the box thinking to solve complex problems and work around constraints.

  • Proficiency with SDLC (software development lifecycle) and agile delivery methodologies.

  • Thorough, proactive and detail oriented, able to operate independently
