Commercial Exterior Painter

$25 - $28 per hour

Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.

Must be flexible on shift

As a valued member of the PrimeFlight team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining of buildings, facilities, and related work as required. In this position you will provide prompt and efficient service by performing the following duties:

• Preforms skilled painting jobs on furniture, buildings, and other facilities area.

• Applies paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes to equipment, buildings, bridges, and/or other structures, using brushes spray guns, or rollers.

• Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, or finish coats.

• Mixing and matching colors of paint, stain, or varnish with oil and thinning and drying additives in order to obtain desire colors and consistencies.

• File nail hose, joints, and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler.

• Covers surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and removes fixtures such as pictures, door knobs lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.

• Calculates amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements and/or work orders.

• Preforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment.

General Qualifications

• 18 years of age

• Reliable transportation

• Eligible to work in the United States

Education/Experience:

Requires a high school diploma and 4 to 6 years of experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisor, as well as other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid State Driver’s License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Continuously stand and walk for 6-8 hours
