Member of the Engineering, Maintenance and Reliability Team. Manages team of reliability engineers with a strategic focus on plant reliability. Process owner of Revere’s Work Management Process. Partners with operations management to ensure that equipment keeps running. Develops predictive and preventative maintenance strategies. Reports on analysis performance of equipment through established metrics. Recommend equipment improvements. Reinforce safety leadership within the Behavioral Based Safety program. Coach and develop reliability team to provide a high level of service to the organization.

Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct reliability improvement strategies, practices, and projects that support operational goals and objectives.

  • Promote continuous improvement for the Reliability and Maintenance Work Management Process.

  • Provide technical expertise, support, guidance, direction, and leadership for improving the reliability, availability and performance of fixed equipment.

  • Utilize leading edge Reliability-Centered Maintenance technologies in the monitoring, evaluation, maintenance, repair, selection, and upgrading of fixed equipment to maximize unit availability and performance.

  • Improve equipment reliability, and control maintenance expenses through Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.

  • Develop, track and regularly report on reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate trends, and ensure that business objectives are met.

  • Provide data and input to the capital planning process to help determine capital project priorities.

  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis as well as Preventive and Predictive Maintenance to reduce major equipment failure, reduce repetitive repairs and prevent future failures.

  • Facilitate documentation of equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.

  • Partner with Maintenance Execution to ensure training requirements for technical skills related to inspection, prevention, and condition-based monitoring.

  • Establish Maintenance Standards for equipment repair, installation, and calibration.

  • Create a culture of continuous process improvement and employee learning/development.

  • Manage safety issues and improvement projects.

  • Provide support and facilitate other required plant operation requirements such as asset management, insurance reviews, and strategic plan initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering leadership in heavy manufacturing 10+ years.

  • Strong working knowledge of reliability centered maintenance, predictive maintenance techniques, and maintenance management systems in a lean manufacturing environment.

  • People leadership experience 5+ years and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Safety experience, knowledge and application.

  • Problem solving capabilities and analytical abilities.

  • Business acumen and financial analysis skills.

  • Experience in statistical methods of Reliability analysis (Barringer, Weibull) is strongly preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong computer and organizational skills.

  • Project Management and Execution Experience.

  • Candidates must also be willing to travel when needed.

  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

  • May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.

  • May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.

Education / Training:

Minimum:

  • 4 Year Degree; Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics.

  • Electrical Engineering Preferred.

  • Electrical Systems Experience.
