The Opportunity:

CACI helps the Air Force Research Laboratory explore, prototype, and demonstrate new technologies, enabling the US Air

Force to maintain its technological advantage. We are seeking an experienced data engineer to help us research and

develop novel information management technologies.

Responsibilities:

As a software engineer, you will:

• Work closely with our customers to design and implement semantic web technologies to support information

management research and development

• Design and implement graph datastores based on Resource Description Framework (RDF) or similar technologies.

• Participate in research and development of automated techniques for converting unstructured or semi-structured data

into graph data.

• Develop software for knowledge management and analysis applications.

• Review technical standards, academic literature, hardware/software documentation and technical reports, and apply that

information to software design and implementation

• Present the results of research and software development to your peers or customers

• Write technical documentation

Technologies you will use include:

• Graph data stores, particularly those based on RDF

• SPARQL graph query language

• AI/ML models for data analytics

• Cloud deployment environments, such as Azure or Amazon Web Services

• SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, GitLab, Jira, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

You’ll need to meet these requirements to be eligible for this position:

• Active Department of Defense TOP SECRET Security Clearance

• Able to work in an office environment, including using computers for long periods of time and communicating with others

face-to-face, by telephone, email, or instant messaging

• Have a degree in the field of computer science, data engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering,

mathematics, or related field

• Have ten to fifteen years of professional experience as a software engineer or research scientist

Desired:

• Experience with graph analysis applied to problems in open-source intelligence

• Experience designing and implementing machine learning-based tools

• Expertise with developing technical solutions for building dashboards that fuse multiple data sources and summarize

content

• Familiarity with military operations and terminology in general; Air Force air, cyber or space operations, missions,

workflows and artifacts in particular

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$104,200-$229,200
