Indium Corporation Quality Engineering Technician in Rome, New York

JOB SUMMARY:The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for participating in initiatives to understand processes and to implement appropriate process controls ensuring that the quality of all Indium Corporation’s products meet customer requirements while supporting the growth, visions and values of Indium Corporation. Work is assigned and is performed under general supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Test, or facilitate the testing of, customer-returned and developmental materials to support product validation and Indium’s product auditing program

• Log, research and resolve customer complaints relating to product quality

• Document procedures per ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100 and/or other relevant quality standards

• Support business plans goals and objectives; support manufacturing engineering and R&D with design and implementation of new products and /or technologies following an APQP process

• Operate computer programs and statistical software to analyze data, report results, and draw data-driven conclusions

• Participate in problem solving activities using 8D format

• Investigate, identify, recommend, install and maintain quality test equipment

• Coordinate activities with other quality department staff

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver timely results

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree in a science-based technical discipline

• 2 years work experience in a quality or process engineering position, preferred

• 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of quality standards and statistical concepts

• Advanced math skills

• Proficiency in MS Office with experience in software for DOE, SPC and data analysis

• Experienced in supporting internal and external customers regarding requests for technical assistance, quality inquiries and product testing

• Detail oriented and highly organized

• Able to work independently, or in team, as needed to meet goals

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

SHIFT/SITE:

Monday-Friday/Office Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm/ 5836 Success Drive, Rome, NY

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$19.00 per hour - $25.25 per hour

($39,500 - $52,500 annually)
