Description
Summary:
Responsible for a wide range of duties ensuring that the facility infrastructure of the mill and office buildings are maintained. As directed by management, effectively respond to facility infrastructure and implement solutions in a timely manner. Facilitate the repair and upgrade of plant facilities. Assist with capital project implementation.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Communicate with operations leaders directly related to infrastructure and facility needs, with a high emphasis on those that are safety related
· Create solutions for facility infrastructure needs utilizing contractors and in-house skilled trade resources as appropriate
· Assist in planning and schedule required work to maintain facility infrastructure
· Identify infrastructure problems and insert into facility improvement process
· Provide input regarding projects to upgrade, replace or improve the facility.
· Manage “contract-out” requirement to comply with labor agreement
· Read, interpret and revise blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
· Generate appropriate preventive and predictive type recommendations for improvement
· Work with all functions to support RCPI’s safety initiative
· Work cross functionally to ensure high level internal customer satisfaction is maintained
Qualifications:
· 7 + years’ experience in Facilities & Industrial Construction
· Demonstrated capability to implement solutions independently and with input from others
· Problem Solving abilities
· Project Management / Project Engineering
· Be willing to work off-shifts and weekends, if required
· Ability to work as part of a team or independently
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong computer and organizational skills.

o AutoCAD
Special Demands:
· Be capable of regularly lifting up to 50 pounds
· Be able to climb ladders
· While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
· May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.
· May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
· May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.
· May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.
· May be exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process
Education / Training:
· Skilled Trades background, journey level preferred
· 2 year degree, preferred
· 3-5 years’ experience in a medium to large manufacturing facility
· Knowledge of maintenance, predictive maintenance techniques, and maintenance management systems in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
Salary Description
$70,000-$80,000 per year
