Demand Planning Specialist

As a Demand Planning Specialist, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services within an organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create accurate sales forecasts, optimize inventory levels, and enhance supply chain efficiency. Here are your key responsibilities:

Forecasting Accuracy : Develop demand-based sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and input from Sales and Marketing teams.

Collaboration and Coordination : Work closely with various departments, including Operations, Finance, and Sales, to align production plans with projected demand.

Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels, identify gaps, and propose contingency plans to address fluctuations in demand.

Reporting and Analysis : Prepare and review KPIs, analyze sales performance, and communicate insights to management. Investigate exceptions (e.g., abnormal demand) and propose improvements.

Process Enhancement : Continuously improve the Monthly S&OP process by suggesting refinements and streamlining procedures.

Cross-Functional Communication : Facilitate communication between business units regarding product availability and sales forecasts.

Data Integrity and Systems : Ensure accurate data in related systems (such as BPCS/SAP APO) and collaborate with Finance on investment and savings planning.

Legal Compliance : Act in accordance with local laws, Abbott policies, and ethical procedures.
